Captain Volkonogov Escaped Wins Award at Chicago Film Festival

Sergey Fevralev, the production designer for the film, won a prize for Best Art Direction at the Chicago International Film Festival.

13 films were shown as part of the international film competition, including Drive My Car by Ryuske Hamaguchi (Best Screenplay at Cannes Film Festival), Memoria by Apichatpong Weerasethakul (Jury Prize at Cannes Film Festival), Paris, 13th District by Jacques Audiard (Cannes Soundtrack Award), The Worst Person in the World by Joachim Trier (Best Actress at Cannes Film Festival), and Petite Maman by Céline Sciamma (competed at Berlin International Film Festival).

The world premiere of Captain Volkonogov Escaped took place as part of the main competition of the 78th Venice Film Festival. The film was part of the main competition at the 32nd Kinotavr festival, where it won the Audience Award and Best Screenplay.
